A 2025 Lionsgate feature from Kingdom Story Company and the Erwin Brothers, directed by Jon Gunn and starring Zachary Levi and Patricia Heaton. Based on Susy’s book with Scott LeRette: the tender story of a boy with a rare brittle-bone disease who joyfully embraces life, and the father he transforms.

Thunder Dog
Written with Michael Hingson, Thunder Dog spent thirteen weeks on the New York Times list and is used in schools, colleges, and community reading programs. It has been translated into more than fifteen languages, adapted for the stage, and optioned for film.
